If you are interested in VOIP checkout skype and voipbuster. Skype is free if its skype to skype but you pay for calls to landlines. Voipbuster on the otherhand is paid calls to most places but has a list of places you can call landlines for free. This does not include cell phones... but the list includes UK, Australia, Greece, USA and more. Access to free calling on Voipbuster is dependent on you depositing a minimal amount ..about $6 (5 Euros) . Without deposit you are limited to a one minute free call, great if you just want to call someone and tell them to meet you online... but once you make a deposit you can call those free numbers as much as you like, it cuts off after 1 hour but you simply call back.. if you like to chat as much as I do. I've spent over 10 hours on free calls so far and still have my deposit in case I need to make a call to a non free number or cell. I love these programs :) Skype is another one I use for making calls to the UK when I can't do it for free.

I almost feel like that advert for cell phones in the UK.. "you are now free to roam" It's great to be able to make calls again and not have to worry about costs and time. If you have friends and relatives scattered around the globe.. I highly recommend this over most international calling cards or packages. Most people don't even realise I am not using my phone to call them.

Free calls to any regular phone in:

Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany,
Greece, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States UK calls are no longer free.. but still incredibly cheap

http://www.skype.com Free Skype to Skype ( PC to PC calls ) and great rates on calling landlines and cells, offers a lot of extra features too like voicemail and a number you can use for people to call you. Similar to the vonage service.

Bare Minerals
....I haven't tried this stuff yet but I really, really want to. I'm not one to get reeled in by infomericals but this one really caught my attention and I wish I'd bought some while I was living near one of their stores. I have freckles which drive me nuts and living on the West coast you can imagine they appear and stay almost all year round.

I'm at the age now where I don't really want to cake on loads of makeup.. one day I'm going to spoil myself and get this. It just seems like such a nice easy and effective way to looking good without going back to my alternative/rock/goth/ days .. who woulda thought I'd get subtle in my old age *grin

Australian Bodycare
..This stuff is incredible !!!

The whole range is fantastic but my personal favorites are the shampoo, skinwash and the oil. If you have never tried this stuff you don't know what you are missing... I just wish QVC USA stocked this like the UK one does.

The Shampoo is great for itchy/flakey scalp and I've never used anything that beat it. The skinwash is great for anyone who suffers from skin issues like pimples and acne. I can't say how well it works on severe acne as I've never really had that problem myself, and the oil is fantastic for cuts and scrapes and even athletes foot.

c'mon USA ..someone please open a store here!!!!

Faballoon
Oh the fun to be had with this little contraption!!

I heard they stopped producing this but if you can find one on ebay or in a store check it out.

The idea is to stuff balloons with gifts, the dome is designed to expand the balloon and you fill it then seal it. It's really rather cool. Or you can be like me and find alternative uses for it.. if you are feeling brave!

I get so many search hits for this product I am surprised they stop making it. If anyone knows where these are still available or where you can still get supplies please email me :)
Gale Hayman .. supposedly one of the best sellers in the US.. or so I was told by QVC UK when I lived in the UK. So imagine my surprise at arriving here unable to find it anywhere. Luckily a year or two later Gale Hayman put her own site up.
This range is designed for the older woman but I was using it in my 20's and I just love the exfoliating scrub and the lip lift. The cleanser and toner are also fantastic. I'm not ready for the facelift in a bottle stuff just yet but I did try them when they came in a collection I bought.
Sloggi If ever a rear needed a g-string its gotta be a sloggi. I just love Sloggi underwear, its comfortable and practical. It's not the sexiest underwear on the market, its more sports wear in looks ...but oh the comfort.

I've never been one for gstrings, I always hated the itchy scatchy so called sexy lacey stuff.. who feels sexy when the underwire is digging in the lace is rubbing you raw and you probably wont be able to dig that gstring out for a month. All you g-string haters .. try sloggi ..hard to find in the US stores but available online at figleaves :)

The shorts are also really comfy, if you are a comfort girl and more into PJ's than Lacey teddies and stuff... you'll love these. They are flattering too unlike a lot of underwear, I love the high leg look that Sloggi do because I am so short.. every little helps!!
Blistex I'm one of those people that smokes... yeah I know.. bad habit. And us ladies who smoke know that it dries out our lips.. that is what I loved so much about lip lift. It pretty much exfoliates your lips and leaves them smooth and kissable ... well I found an alternative when I couldn't get the gale hayman lip lift.

Now the thing is this blistex is not the same as all the others, this one has alpha hydroxy which is the same ingredient used in the lip lift but this costs a helluvva lot less. It's the next best thing to lip lift in my opinion.

I find most lip balms don't work for me but this stuff is awesome, this regularly makes an appearance in gift parcels to my stepdaughter. The English weather plays havoc with your lips, so she loves this stuff and unfortunately for her.. so do all of her friends who found out about it and keep stealing hers. If you have a friend that lives in cold weather areas which make for dry cracked lips... pop one of these in an envelope they will love you forever.
Plaid Gallery Glass - See it's not all about looking good ...

I'm sure most avid hobbyists and QVC/Micheals shoppers have already seen this, but for those of you who haven't.. this is fun. It's a fake Stained Glass Window Paint.

You can either use it on house windows or create framed artwork by simply applying it to picture frames. And the really cool thing about this is you can peel it off and put something new up when you get bored. Adults and kids alike can use this, its very easy and the project books that come with this range has great patterns if you don't want to make your own.

They even went one step further and started producing pre-made lead strips, unlike when I first started using this and you had to make your own.

Pebeo Porcelain 150
- Oh boy, if you haven't ever tried this stuff you don't know what you are missing. This is a glass paint that once baked is dishwasher proof. It works on pretty much any surface that can withstand the baking temp required to cure it.

Glass, porcelain, metal, even plaster of Paris items... when you use the base coat. The color range is fantastic and the outliner tubes are great for simple touches of elegance on dinnerware or stemware. The paint in the tubes expands to form a 3D line effect much like puff paint. Teens love to do light bulbs for their rooms too, a nice touch of individuality.

Baci - hmm mmm hmmmmmm mmm !!! that about covers it.

.. unless you are allergic to nuts this is one of the best chocolates I have ever eaten. I don't think it's even possible to explain how good this is, this is one of those chocolates you hide and only share with someone you really REALLY love. It comes in individual bites or in bars... but its hard to find offline. It's a nutty fondant type of filling with a large nut at the top. this is theeeeeee bees knees of chocolate

Fry's Turkish Delight - Coming in a very close second in my list of favorite chocolate .. Fry's Turkish Delight. This is not like the Turkish delight covered in powdered sugar that you find in stores which I personally don't like the taste of.. this stuff is absolutely to die for and till you have tried it no one can really explain how good it is. This Turkish Delight has a smooth creamy melt in your mouth texture and comes covered with good old English Chocolate.

If you have friends in Europe or Canada ask them to send you one as Canada sells British Chocolate :) I could go on forever about English Chocolate..its one of the few things I really miss, but my advice is just try it. Look for a UK store there are quite a few around. ..or try the World Food Market if you have one locally.

La Riche-Directions
- Anyone who knows me, knows I dye my hair mad colors and this is what I use. I've probably been using this for close to 15 years or more?? It's fantastic stuff and totally doesn't trash your hair. All you moms with teens going through their "individuality phase" this stuff is great and washes out pretty quick if you don't bleach your hair first.

If you want longer lasting, truly vibrant color bleach first, this makes the hair more porous so holds the color longer... and also the lighter your hair the more vibrant the colors. Just try not to over process your hair; the color won't hurt it, but over bleaching can do damage. Check out the color charts.. my usual colors of choice are Plum and Flamingo Pink with pillar box red coming 3rd.. and I do bleach ..so up those a few shades !!!

Well that's me all opinionated out for just now... but check back I'll be adding more of my personal favorites and links and maybe even some project ideas for the craft items.

Toodle Pip !
